SustainCERT approved as a Validation and Verification Body (VVB) under the International Carbon Registry (ICR)

We are pleased to announce that as of 20 February 2025, SustainCERT has been approved as a Validation and Verification Body (VVB) under the International Carbon Registry (ICR). This approval marks a significant milestone in our commitment to providing high-quality validation and verification services in the voluntary carbon market.

Our ICR Accreditation Scope

SustainCERT is accredited to provide Validation and Verification services across the following sectoral scopes:

  • Energy industries 
  • Energy distribution 
  • Energy demand 
  • Construction 
  • Transport 

In addition, we are pursuing expanded accreditation under ISO 14065:2020 (via ANAB) for the following sectors, which are currently pending:

  • Waste handling and disposal 
  • Afforestation and reforestation 
  • Agriculture

Successful Validation and Verification will allow project developers to issue ICR-certified carbon credits, ensuring their projects meet the high environmental and social integrity standards established by the International Carbon Registry.
